The key to the perfect Margarita is using quality natural ingredients and measuring! The only thing that should be substituted here it the tequila and not with a cheap one !
Shake and serve on the rocks with salt ( salt optional )
3 parts quality tequila (Patron is my personal favorite)
2 parts sweet and sour ( home made )
3/4 part Cointreau
1/4 part Grand Mariner
Parts can be any unit of measurement
HOME MADE SWEET AND SOUR
Julie and I buy lemons and limes when they are on sale and squeeze and freeze them or make sweet and sour and freeze that. The sweet and sour lasts for up to a month in the refrigerator
1 part lemon (fresh squeezed )
1 part lime (fresh squeezed )
1 part water (add sugar to water until you have two parts of water and sugar )
